Process and material

HCR compression moulding

Labels are pressed from high-consistency silicone in steel moulds engraved in-house. Compression moulding keeps tooling cost low, which is why a 500-piece label order is viable — LSR injection would need 10× the volume to pay for its tooling.

Three ways to attach it

A sew channel is moulded into the border for stitching. Heat-transfer labels carry a hot-melt film activated at 110–160 °C with 3–5 kg for 8–15 s. Adhesive labels use a 3M backing for hard surfaces. Tell us the substrate and we will recommend one.

Post-curing

Labels are post-cured at 200 °C for 2 hours after demoulding. This drives off residual volatiles and odour, which matters for anything worn against skin or packed in a sealed bag for months.

An exploded three-layer diagram: a woven fabric base, a thin silicone backing layer, and a matte black silicone patch with a raised hexagonal emblem.
AI-generated illustration How a silicone patch stacks: fabric, a thin silicone backing, then the moulded patch with the logo raised above the surface. Those three layers are why the patch sits proud of the garment instead of flat against it — the raised height itself is set by the tool, and is agreed on the drawing.

Questions buyers ask about silicone labels & patches

What is your MOQ for custom silicone labels?

100 pcs for a trial run, 500 pcs for standard production. Below 100 pcs we can still quote, but the fixed setup cost dominates the unit price.

Will the label survive industrial washing?

Yes, when the backing matches the substrate. Sew-on is the most durable; heat-transfer holds through 60 °C washes on cotton and polyester blends. We arrange wash-cycle testing for your fabric if you need a number on paper.

Can you match a Pantone colour exactly?

We match to Pantone with a solid-colour silicone chip sent for approval. Slight deviation is normal on soft silicone because the matte surface reflects light differently from a paper swatch — approve a physical chip, not a screen.

What heat-press setting do your transfer labels need?

110–160 °C, 3–5 kg pressure, 8–15 seconds. Exact settings depend on the fabric; we send a recommended profile with the first shipment.

How thick can the raised logo be?

Up to 2 mm above the base surface. Beyond that the silicone starts to undercut during demoulding and the edge quality drops.
